"Please Lancer. I would go but I don't have a car or a credit card. Please Lancer," Sweetheart begged.

"Okay, but they owe me big time."

Lancer picked up Sweetheart. They finally found Patch at the Ice Cream Shoppe. She was about to order, but they talked her into coming with them to Club 41.

On the way, Patch explained that she had broken up with Buddy Thursday night. Apparently he took it harder then she had expected. But she knew when they were face to face, he would want an explanation. Sweetheart and Lancer were shocked to hear the news.

Buddy drank quite a few beers during the course of the night. Teddy didn't know what to say to him to get him to stop. Buddy led both girls onto the dance floor and danced with both of them. Walking out of the club without Buddy wasn't an option. It had been a good couple hours since he talked to Sweetheart, so he convinced Buddy to come out and get some air. Little did Buddy know, they weren't going back in.

"So, what are we doing out here?"

"I told you. We're getting some air."

"Why?"

"Why, what?"

"Why. . . did Patch break up with me?" the question that was preying on his mind all day and night.

Teddy shrugged, "Where are they? I can't hold him out here much longer," Teddy thought.

Buddy got up off the curb and began to pace around.

"Where are you going? Teddy stood in front of him with his hoof at Buddy's chest.

"Get out of my face Teddy. I'm going back in to dance. I had enough air."

Teddy was about to give up when he say Lancer's car circling the parking lot.

"Buddy, Buddy! Lancer's here to help us. Come on," Buddy gave up trying to fight off Teddy. It was like being with his mother.

"There they are!" shouted Sweetheart.

Lancer parked the car and the three ponies rushed over to their friends. Sweetheart gave both of them a hug and then demanded an explanation.

"Sweetheart, don't be angry with Teddy. It was my fault. It was my idea to leave. This never would have happened if 'she' didn't blow me off last night," Buddy pointed at Patch, then sat down on the curb with his head down.

Teddy informed Patch that Buddy had been drinking. He took Sweetheart and Lancer aside and explained everything. He informed Lancer that they needed the credit card to get the truck towed back home.

"Lancer we. . .uh Buddy owes you big time."

"What about you?"

"Hey, I was looking out for my heartbroken friend."

"Buddy, why did you leave? You've never done anything like this before," Patch joined Buddy on the curb.

"I never had reason to before. Why? Why didn't I get an explanation. We tell each other everything."

"Well, I was thinking that. . ."

"There you are. We missed you," Lilac and Marina walked towards Buddy. Lilac began rubbing Buddy's shoulders.

"Who are they?"

"Lilac and Marina picked us up off the highway. Could you give me second," the girls then walked away to give him some time to talk to Patch.

"What, you already have another girlfriend?"

"What if I do? You broke up with me remember," Buddy could see the hurt in Patch's eyes.

"Okay, I feel we are better off as friends," Patch averted her eyes to the ground where she kicked a couple stones around with her hoof.

"Oh, Patch that is so awesome to hear."

Buddy threw his arms around her. Patch confusingly stared at the smile on his face. She wanted to know the meaning behind his happiness.

"I thought you didn't want to see me again. You ignored me all day today. It hurt. So I grabbed Teddy and we took off. I never expected we'd get such an adventure."

"Buddy, you're my best friend. I never want that to change."

"I like being friends any ways. Being the boyfriend is a lot of work," Patch laughed and assured him that he wasn't a bad boyfriend.

"Friends?"

"What do you think?" Buddy grabbed her and hugged her, "Let's go home."

"Hey, how about we see that movie again and make fun of it," suggested Patch.

"That movie was so boring, let's see a horror movie instead," Buddy and Patch walked over to the car where their friends were waiting.

"You guys cool?" asked Teddy as they got into the car.

"We're definitely cool," Buddy grinned at Patch.

"So which one of you owes me for this little trip down here?" Lancer asked as he looked at them threw the rear view mirror.

"He does," Teddy and Buddy both said simultaneously, which caused all of them to laugh.
