"Dad, you can't leave, yet," Brighteyes begged him to stay a little longer. Morgan had not been there for her daily sundae.

"I have been here for two hours. I have got some things I want to get accomplished today."

Ace, Buddy, and Spinner enter the Ice Cream Shoppe and see Brighteyes struggling to keep here dad inside.

"Stall him," She whispers to Ace.

"Uh, sir," Ace smiled, "You don't want to leave yet. There was a terrible. . . "

"Accident," finished Spinner, "traffic is backed up for miles."

The three boys all shook their heads. Brighteyes smiled knowing he wouldn't leave if there was a traffic back up.

"No problem, I rode my bike." Brighteyes hit herself in the head with her hoof, as her father gave her a kiss on the cheek and headed for the door.

"That's where the accident is, on the sidewalk," Buddy tried to stall him, again.

"Oh yeah, It's a horrible site out there. Some little kid rode his bike right into the fruit stand. There is apples and pears all over the sidewalk," Ace slapped Buddy's hoof.

"They're not letting any bikes through for at least another three hours," Buddy warned him.

"I better get out there and help."

"Brighteyes was just about to give up and let him go when Morgan walked in. She shouted her order of the unusual sundae to Starlight, who was working. When Brighteyes's dad heard that she was ordering his favorite sundae, his heart skipped a beat and he immediately went over and started to talk to her.

"Thump," Brighteyes stood there and watched the two of them smiling together.

Over the next couple of weeks, her dad began spending a lot of his free time with Morgan. He would come home from work, and get ready for their date. Brighteyes would cook dinner for herself. She usual cooked for two and have a nice talk over dinner. Now it's different. Meals are lonelier and she missed her father.

Brighteyes sat on the couch. She had made popcorn cause Tuesday night is their night. They always watch the discover channels program on the environment together.

"Honey, what tie do you like better?"

"Where are you going?"

"Out with Morgan, why? Oh right it's Tuesday. I'm sorry honey I promise I'll make it up to you."

Brighteyes gave him a half smile and told him she liked the blue tie better, as she sat back down on the couch and prepared to watch the show alone.

"Brighteyes, why the long face?"

Brighteyes shrugged her shoulders and looked at Starlight, who was walking up the steps of the bleachers. "I'm a little lonely. My Dad is spending every waking moment with her. I miss him."

"Brighteyes, you wanted to set him up with someone. What did you expect?" smiled Starlight. Brighteyes shock her head not wanting to agree with her.

The two girls sat on the bleachers watching their boyfriends finish up their soccer practice. They watched as Teddy and Ace were picking on Lancer, again. Not passing him the ball when he's open and tripping him on purpose are some of the things they do to him.

"Are they ever going to get tired of picking on him?" Starlight asked.

"Probably not, but I don't think it bothers him much anymore. I mean, he's so used to it, it probably doesn't even faze him," laughed Brighteyes.

"Still, it's mean."

"Hey ladies," Ace ran up to Starlight to give her a big hug.

"Eww, gross Ace, you're all sweaty and stinky," Starlight covered her nose.

"It's nice to see you, too. I'm gonna hit the showers. Be back in a minute." Ace ran back down the steps and across the field to the locker room. Lancer waved to Brighteyes before following Ace.

"Well, I have to do something to break them up," Brighteyes turns to Starlight.

"You are being ridiculous. Why do you want to do that?"

"I want my dad back."
