The next day at school, Clover walked through the front doors, certain that she would give all her classmates something to talk about. She walked through the hallway to her locker. Most of the ponies moved out of her, frightened by the way she looked. Others didn't even recognize her, and had to do a double-take.

Clover opened up her locker. Sweetheart was a couple lockers down, getting some books out of her locker. She peered around her locker door and saw Clover. Sweetheart, curious to what was going on, decided to find out.

"Clover, oh didn't that hurt?" Sweetheart crinched at the sight of Clover's eyebrow and ear.

"No, actually it didn't," She went about her business like nothing was different. Sweetheart decided not to ask anymore questions. Clover would only give her a smart answer.

At lunch time, Clover approached her usual lunch table, that she shared with her life long friends. But today, cause of her new look, she didn't feel like she belonged with them. She greeted her friends and informed them that she wouldn't be sitting with them today. Clover scanned the lunch room and spotted the ponies who she feels like she should be with.

Patch, Bonbon, and Brighteyes watched Clover as she walked over to a table of ponies. They had tattoos, piercing, and were into the black lipstick and eyeshadow. They were the ponies that the other ponies feared, especially Clover. Why on earth would she want to hang out with them.

"How do ya like that? After ten years of being friends she ditches us to hang out with a bunch of freaks!!!" Patch became very annoyed at this. Her and Clover had gotten pretty close and she could not believe this was the same Clover.

"Hi Kala, Nicki, Dara, Jewel, do you mind if I sit with you for lunch today?" Clover asked. She was a little leery about how they would answer. After all, she had never talked to them before today.

"Aren't you going to sit with your goody-to-shoe friends," laughed the group.

"Does it look like I fit in with them?"

Kala pushed out the extra chair that was at their table. Clover took it as an initiative to sit down and join them.

"You know I really like the black streaks you put in your hair. I mean pink is just way to happy. It makes me sick," commented Dara.

"And the eyebrow, nice touch Clov,"

"So, how about hanging out with us at Kala's house after school? That is our usual hangout spot, instead of that damn Ice Cream Shoppe, with all those stuck-up pricks," Jewel felt like getting aggressions out cause she knew Clover always hung out their with her friends.

"I'll be there,"

"Meet us out in front of the school, Dara always drives us over there."

After school, Clover's new group of friends all met at Kala's house. Clover was a little apprehensive about this new situation she had put herself in. She cautiously walked down the basement steps. When she got to the bottom, she looked around the dimly lit room. There were black lights and bean bag chairs around the room. Nikki walked around and lighted all the candles.

"This is where we hang everyday after school. Kala's mom works till 11:00, so no parents are here to supervise, and by the time she gets home, the smell is gone. She doesn't suspect anything," Jewel began to hand all of them a beer out of the mini fridge.

"What do you mean?" Clover had no idea as to what they were talking about. She opened the beer, took a sip and made a face, "ewww, this is gross," she thought.

"Come on Clover, don't play stupid, the smell of smoke. If my mom finds out, she would kill me."

"What, you've never smoked before? And we're not just talking cigarettes," Dara opened her beer and sat back in the lime green beanbag chair.

"What else is there to smoke?" Clover thought as she watch Kala take some paper and a plastic bag out of her purse, that she did not recognize.

"Oh yeah I smoke all the time," Jewel handed Clover a cigarette and a lighter. Clover placed the cigarette in her mouth and frantically tried to light it. After like the tenth try, she finally got it lit. She took a puff and started coughing.

"Where's your bathroom?" Clover coughed as she got up and ran. She felt sick to her stomach.

Clover took a drink of water and looked in the mirror. "Come on Clover, get a grip. It's just a cigarette, I hope." She fixed herself so she didn't look like a total fool, when she returned to their little circle.

"Hey welcome back, what was that all about? I thought you smoked all the time?"

"Well, I was trying to quit,"

Kala finished rolling the joint and lit it up, taking a puff and passing it to Jewel. Clover watched unsure of what exactly they were doing. She didn't want to sound like a fool in front of her new friends but she had no choice, Jewel handed it to her. Clover starred at it for a couple seconds. All eyes were on her.
