"This is your fault Clover. Oh, it's too boring around here, we need some excitement," Bonbon mocked Clover as the four of them sat in the back of the police car. He was taking them to the station to file a report and call their parents.

"Yeah, why can't you just leave well enough alone," Brighteyes chimed in.

"How could you do this to your friends??" Patch was more upset then Brighteyes and Bonbon. Clover never said a word, she just listened to her friends yell at her.

"Girls, could you please be quiet for a bit?" begged the police officer. He tried to focus on the road but the screaming and shouting was really giving him a headache. At last they arrived at the station. He had the girls handcuffed together, just as a routine. He placed them in a holding cell, while he wrote up the report.

"Clover, why?? why??? You know what I went through with that stuff? And now your very addicted to it, thanks to the freaks, I mean your 'new' friends." Patch tried not to cry. It really wasn't her nature to show her emotional side. She paced around the cell.

"Yeah where are your 'new' friends now that you need them?" asked Bonbon as she sat down next to Brighteyes.

"Of course now that you're in trouble are they going to bail you out?" Brighteyes notice an officer walking by and ran up to the bars of the cell. "How is this going to affect my permanent record?" she asked.

"Relax Brighteyes, just sit down and try not to get us into any more trouble," Patch said, "yeah look who's here to help you out through this. We are, you're life-long friends. Or should I say your former friends." Patch crossed her arms and leaned against the wall in the corner of the cell.

"Okay guys just stop all this fighting," Bonbon stood up and yelled. Brighteyes, Patch, and Clover all jumped at the tone in her voice. Bonbon has never yelled like that before, maybe at her brothers and sisters, but never at her friends.

"All I can say is I'm sorry," Clover finally spoke with her head held down. She felt terrible for doing this to her friends and for even trying something that was illegal.

"You're sorry, you're sorry," Patch went back to pacing around the cell. Then she stopped right infront of Clover. "Tell me, honestly, what on earth were you thinking?"

"Um, I guess I wasn't. Bonbon's right, I wanted more excitement, and I thought this was the way to get some. And well, I guess I got it and hurt all my friends in the process," Clover put her head in her lap and began to cry. Patch looked at Bonbon and Brighteyes, and then sat next to Clover and gave her a hug.

"I wanted to be cool, I wanted to be in the in-crowd"

"Clover that doesn't make you cool, and for heaven sakes, they are not the in-crowd, they are the freaks of the school."

The officer who brought them in, noticed that the screaming had died down greatly. He wondered if the four girls were still here. He looked up from the desk and saw them all huddled together. He was curious as to what they were up to, and quietly went down the hallway to check it out. He quietly listened to the girls talk.

"Do you know what makes you cool?" Brighteyes walk over and knelt down in front of Clover, "It's being happy with what you have, and not seeking out to hurt others, standing up for what is right, being there for your friends when they need you, it's,"

"Brighteyes, I think she gets the point," Patch interrupted her.

"You guys are right, how could I be so stupid. I didn't mean to do it. I wasn't thinking clearly." Clover took out the earrings and eyebrow ring, and laid them on the bench in the cell. "Can you guys ever forgive me?"

"I can't stay mad at my best friend," Bonbon hugged her.

"Me neither," Brighteyes and Patch all moved in to give her hugs.

"Well, we may be all right for now, but we are still in deep shit when the cop comes back," Patch said.

Clover wiped her eyes and looked up to see the cop standing there watching them. She stood up and walked over the the bars. "Sir, how is this going to affect my friends' permanent records. They did nothing wrong, it was my stupid mistake, so please don't punish them."

"Are you finished?"

Clover nodded, "I think so."

"Good, I was going to say, that I wll be letting all of you go tonight." The girls smiled happily.

"But, Clover you are going to rehab and I did have to mark this on your record. If I didn't, how do I know you aren't going to do this again?"

Clover shrugged her shoulders, "You don't."

"Exactly, I have to scare you a little so I don't ever catch you back in here again," He opened up the cell and the four of them rushed out. "Come on, I'll give you a ride back to your car."

"Could you put the sirens on and drive really fast?" asked Patch. He just smiled at her as he shut the door to the police car.

After he dropped them off at Brighteyes' car, they watched him drive away. All four of them were so relieved that they didn't have to spend the night in jail.

"Clover, could you do us all a favor?" Bonbon asked as they all got in the car.

"What's that?" Clover asked.

"Don't ever change."
