"Hey guys, oh and ladies, did you here about the latest concert that is coming to town?" Buddy took his set next to Patch as he joined Clover, Dandy, Brighteyes, Chase, and Teddy at their lunch table.

"How do you know this? We have been in school all morning," Patch questioned her good guy friend. She does not consider him a boyfriend, they are just really good friends.

"With this," Buddy pulled out his small headset, "Do you think that I actually pay attention in class?"

"How much are tickets? Some of us are not loaded with extra cash to be spending on a concert."

"Yeah, I totally agree with Chase, I am kinda in the poor house right now and my car could use a new everything," Teddy smiled at Chase.

"Well, I suppose you two aren't going, huh. Tickets are 40 dollars each and all the proceeds go to charity, hence the name The Radical Charity Concert. We know the two poor kids are out, what about the rest of you?"

"Whoa, whoa, wait a minute, you didn't even tell us who is performing?" Patch crossed her arms. "I'm not giving you any money, until I find out if this is for real and not just one of your little scams."

"Patch, I am shocked, I would never try and scam my closest friends, besides, I'm going to pay for you," he winked at her. "Zero, Waterlogged, and The Tigers are performing so far, that is all they announced."

"Oh, wow, I would love to see them in concert, but I don't have the money, unless my awesome, handsome boyfriend could pay for me?" Clover turned to look at Dandy who is sitting beside her and gave him the puppy dog look.

"Clover, I would love to pay for you, but I am really low on cash. I am not even going to go," Dandy could see how disappointed Clover is about not being able to go.

Clover sighed, took a sip of her fruit punch, then an idea crossed her mind. "What if one of my really good friends lent me some money?" She smiled sweetly as she starred at Brighteyes who is across the table from her.

"Oh no, I don't think so. You still owe me from last weekend. Don't you remember, we went to the zoo and you just had to get that stuffed monkey. This really good friend lent you some cash and still hasn't got paid back."

Clover quickly turned away from Brighteyes' glare, and looked at Patch.

"Don't look at me. You still owe me for the time we went to the movies with Melody, what movie did we see. I can't seem to remember," Patch tried to jog Clover's memory. Sometimes she could be a little forgetful.

"And since the money issue has been brought up, you owe me money, too, Clover," Teddy decided to take advantage of the situation and try to see if he could get any money out of her.

"I know, I will pay all of you back as soon as, wait a minute. I don't owe you any money," Clover stopped and glared in Teddy's direction.

"It is worth a shot. I can't go to the concert, either."

"Clover, it is just a concert. It is not the end of the world, if you don't go. You will still go on living," Brighteyes grew tired of hearing Clover complain about not having any money. No one is rich in high school unless it is handed to them by their parents.

Clover walked home from school with Bonbon that Thursday afternoon. Bonbon is coming over and they are going to study for their math test. Bonbon had always had trouble in math and for some reason, this year Clover is excelling in math. So what are friends for? She decided to tutor Bonbon.

"You know if I charged you for tutoring you, I could be making some money to go to the Radical Charity Concert."

"Clover, why? Well, I guess I can give you a little money for helping me," Bonbon really didn't like that idea. Friends shouldn't charge friends for their help.

The two girls got to Clover's house and proceeded in the door. She saw her father sitting at the table in the kitchen. "Oh good Clover, you are home. I have to tell you something and lay down some rules."

"Should I leave you two alone?" Bonbon didn't know if he wanted her to be here when he is going to reprimand Clover. She probably got caught doing something with Dandy and now her father wants to lay down the rules of having a boyfriend over the house.

"No, Bonbon, you can stay," the two girls joined him at the table.

"I am going to be going out of town this weekend on a business trip, and you will be home alone." Clover's mother had passed away a couple of years ago and her sister, Meadowlark, had got married and moved out of town. Which just left Clover and her father, and he traveled a lot for his job.

Clover grinned ear to ear as she glanced at Bonbon. It quickly faded as she looked back at her father.

"I know exactly what you are thinking. I was a teenager once and I was just dying for my parents to leave town, BUT there will be NO PARTIES while I am gone. I DO NOT want any BOYS over. Don't think I don't know what goes on when little boys and girls are home alone."

"Why father, I don't know what you are talking about?" Clover smiled. She hated the thought of her father thinking she would be going out and having sex. She is his little girl.

"Clover, you know exactly what I am talking about. Now I will not be here when you get home from school tomorrow. It's kinda a spur of the moment thing. I want you to have this," He handed her his credit card. As the credit card came toward Clover and Bonbon it just glowed and Clover could hear "Alleluia's" begin playing in her head. "This is for EMERGENCIES ONLY and for nothing else, understood."

"Yes, Father, emergencies only. I got it. Are we done here?" Clover held the credit card tightly in her hoof.

"Yes, just remember emergencies only, and no parties." Clover gave him a hug and a kiss and her and Bonbon ran up to Clover's room.

Clover shut her door and jumped onto her bed. "Bonbon do you know what this means. It means that I can go to the concert."

"But Clover?"

"What? Is there a problem?"

"Your dad said emergencies only."

"If this concert doesn't apply as an emergency, I don't know what does," Clover kissed the card and laid back on her pillow.

Bonbon knew that this credit card is going to get Clover into some trouble, but Clover just wasn't going to listen to reason. So Bonbon decided she would just let Clover learn her lesson the hard way.

Buddy walked down the hallway of the school Friday morning. He had his headset on under his backwards baseball cap. He had to keep it covered up. The last thing he needed was a teacher to catch him and give him detention or even worse, take it away. Bobbing his head to the music and dodging the oncoming ponies, he made his way to Dandy's locker.

"Hey man, what's up?" Buddy leaned against the lockers.

"Not much, you?" Dandy rearranged his books in his locker until they were perfect.

"Boy, you keep your locker so neat. You should see mine. The dirt and dust are beginning to build a town in there," Buddy continued to bob his head.

Melody and Clover soon joined them at Dandy's locker. Dandy gave Clover a "good morning" kiss on her cheek.

"So Mel, did you hear about the Radical Charity Concert? I know Chase is not going, but are you in?"

"Oh definitely, music is my life!"

"Count me in, too." The three ponies looked at Clover. Yesterday she had no money and owed all her friends money. Where did she get money over night? Is there a money tree that just sprouted in her backyard, that she just found out about.

"With what money, Clov."

"With this," Clover whipped out the credit card her father had given her the night before.

"Hey two more groups have just been added to the concert," Buddy announced to his friends.

"Who, who?" wondered Melody.

"Moonlight and Perfect Harmony."

"Oh, they are both awesome groups, charge it," Clover handed Buddy the credit card.

"Why and how did you get a credit card? Is your father crazy?"

"He is away on business this weekend and it is for emergencies only."

"Party at Clover's house!" Buddy shouted so all the ponies in the hallway could hear him.

"Hey, keep it down. There will be NO party. Daddy says no parties."

"Oh what he doesn't know won't hurt him," Buddy is the party animal of the group. He is always looking for the coolest party or where to throw the coolest party.

"Oh, that reminds me. Patch and I are going shopping after s school. Meet me at my house 6:00." Clover kissed Dandy.

"Hey, I thought you weren't allowed to have any parties while daddy is away."

"We are going to have a private party. Just the two of us. If you know what I mean," Clover whispered to Buddy, as her and Melody walked off.

"You lucky dog. You are going to be getting something tonight?"

"No, I don't think so. I am waiting till I get married to have sex. Nothing before then," Dandy wanted to wait until he found his perfect match. It is too precious to just throw away on anybody. Not that Clover wasn't important to him. He just doesn't feel he is mature enough to handle all the responsibilities that go along with it. Besides then there is the risk of having a baby and Dandy knew his is definitely not ready for that.

Dandy sat on the front steps of Clover's house. He checked his watch again, "7:15, didn't she say meet me at my house at 6:00? If she doesn't get home in a couple minutes, I am leaving. I can't believe I waited this long."

Finally, he looked up and saw her black car pull into the driveway. He got up off the step and headed over to the car to see what had taken her so long.

"Clover, I thought you said 6:00?" Clover handed him some of her shopping bags.

"Did I? I am so sorry. I'll make it up to you. Could you grab some of this stuff?" Patch began to get out of the car and grab some more of the bags.

"Patch, did you really need to buy this much stuff?"

"Me? Oh, no, this is all Clover's."

"Clov, where did you. . . you didn't use the,"

"Oh yeah! I love plastic!" Clover kissed the credit card. She grabbed the rest of the bags and closed the car door. Then she proceeded to head into the house to check out all the stuff she had just bought.

"What all did you possible buy? Like you need anymore stuff."

"All I wanted to buy is a new pair of earrings for the concert. Then I saw this beautiful scarf that match perfect with the earrings. Then I needed a bow for my hair, some bracelets, and necklaces, and this outfit would not be complete without the right shoes."

Patch just shock her head, "Dandy, I tried to stop her, but she is like a maniac with that card. I am going to get going. See you tomorrow. That is if Dandy doesn't kill you first." Patch smiled at them and ran out the door.

"So let's go out to dinner, you ready?"

"Clover, it is not an emergency. We can just stay here and eat something."

"Oh, it's no problem. We can round up some of our friends and go out to dinner. Come on," Clover linked arms with Dandy and the two headed out the door to the car. "So who do you want to eat with, or doesn't it matter?"

Dandy just shock his head. Clover had this idea in her head, that in having this credit card she had the power. She was unstoppable, and would not listen to anyone.

"Wow, Clover you didn't have to pay for all of our dinners, the mini golf, the movie, and the shopping trip. I have money," commented Sweetheart. Clover had bought Sweetheart, Teddy, Bonbon, Spinner, and Dandy dinner complete with the appetizer and dessert at their favorite restaurant, Saturday's.

"No, Clover, don't listen to her. You owe me the money anyway. consider this paying me back. This food is delicious," Teddy dived right into eating his cheeseburger and fries.

"I love spending money on the ponies I love. I don't owe you any money, Teddy."

The waiter brought the check over and set it down next to Clover, "I'll take this when you are ready?"

"Here, just charge it."

The waiter took the check and the card up to ring through, but to their surprise he returned awfully fast.

"I'm sorry miss, I can't except this card. You are over your limit," the waiter handed it back to her.

"Over my limit, over my limit. How can that be I only charged what I absolutely had to have. What's a limit any ways?" Clover looked at Dandy. She was so confused.

"A limit is the amount the bank let's you charge to your card until they stop you," Spinner explained to Clover.

"oh shit. My father is going to kill me. I wonder what the limit is on this stupid thing," Clover held the card looking at. "Now what I am going to do?" She lend her head on Dandy's shoulder.

"You can start by getting into the kitchen and start washing some dishes. This meal is not going to pay for itself," said Teddy.

Clover shot Teddy the evil eye, "I seem to be getting that eye from all you girls. You better watch out Sweetheart, I think all your friends secretly want me." Sweetheart looked at him with the "I don't think so" look in her eye.

"Whatever," Bonbon and Clover both picked up a couple rolls and threw them at Teddy.

"You can start by taking back all of the extra shoes and stuff you bought at the mall earlier today," Dandy suggested.

"But."

"But, what? Would you rather have your father kill you. I warned you Clover, and you just didn't listen. You have been a whole different pony ever since you got that thing," Bonbon crossed her arms, "I think you owe us an apology."

"You are right. I am sorry. I was out of control. I just had a way of buying stuff without actually having money. It is so cool. So can you guys help me out, please. Do you have any ideas."

"Dandy's right. Take the back the unnecessary items you bought today. You could sell some of your other unwanted stuff, have a garage sale. You'll definitely raise some money to pay him back," Sweetheart offered her two cents.

"What about the concert ticket? Those are nonrefundable."

"Then you better raise enough money to cover the tickets, too. How many did you buy?"

"Two, one for me and one for Dandy."

"Oh Clover, you didn't have to do that. Now I have to pay you back for that. It is nice, but I wasn't going to go."

That night Clover went home and gathered up all kinds of her stuff that she could sell at her garage sale the next day. Maybe her father wouldn't be as mad if she already had the money to pay him back for the stupid mistake she made.

Saturday morning, Clover is up bright and early setting up for the sale. She had painted a nice eye-catching sign to advertise her garage sale. While she was waiting for some customers, Clover decided she should call her father and confess to him what she had done. She gathered up her courage, picked up the phone and dialed his cel phone number.

"Hi Daddy!"

"Clover, how are you? What's wrong? I didn't expect to her from you."

She didn't want to beat around the bush, so she just blurted out, "I kinda charge your credit card to it's limit," she quickly moved the phone away from her ear cause she knew what was coming next. She is right, her father began to yell at her.

"Daddy, calm down. I am going to have it all fixed by the time you get back on Sunday, love ya, bye," Clover quickly hung up the phone before he had the chance to start yelling at her again. She heard enough from her friends, she didn't need anymore.

Tons and tons of ponies poured into her garage making deals left and right on all her unwanted junk. "This is perfect, I am going to be making enough to pay back daddy and still have some left over," she thought to herself.

Then at around 5:00, she closed up the garage and headed into the house to count the money she just made. "This is the fastest I ever made money and this going to be the fastest I spend it, well maybe." She continued to count as she talked to herself. "Oh, no. I'm still like $200 short. Looks like I'm going to the mall to return some things."

She hopped into her car and took off to the mall. She was able to get all her money back from her purchases. That money was burning a hole in her purse. "No Clover, don't spend it. You are just going to owe more money. Stay strong, don't give in to the temptation." Over and over she kept repeating this in her mind.

It felt like an eternity in the mall, as she tried to make her way through all the shoppers. She got out the door and breathed a sigh of relief. "You did it Clover, this is the first time ever, you went to the mall and didn't but a thing," said the little voice inside her head.

"Where have you been? Why weren't you around to tell me not to spend before it was too late. Uh, where were you Friday?" Clover questioned her conscience.

"Excuse me, what? I believe that I told you repeatedly, BUT someone was ignoring me."

"Oh, that was you talking? You sounded a lot like my father. That is probably why I didn't listen. Hey I'm sixteen, who listens to their parents, let alone your conscience."

"Well, you better start. I know what I'm talking about," Clover just smiled and got back into her car to go home. She still had to figure out if she needed to earn anymore cash.

"I am still $50 short, maybe he will just let me owe him the rest. After he sees that I took responsibility and tried to earn back all the money that I had spent. Or maybe he will just let it slide, after all, I'm his little princess."

"So, how much money did you make yesterday?" Dandy called bright and early on Sunday morning. "Do you want to come to church with me?"

"I am still $50 short, but I don't think my father will be that pissed," Clover is barely awake, and she only woke up cause the phone rang. "Yeah, I'll go to church with you, I just have to get cleaned up and I'll be right over."

After mass, Clover and Dandy met up with Sweetheart and Bonbon, who were also at church. They always go with their families every Sunday. Occasionally they will see some of their friends there. Sweetheart is a little surprised to see Clover at church.

"Well, this is quite a pleasant surprise. You do realize you are in a church?" Clover tried not to let Bonbon's sarcasm get to her.

"Yes, I know where I am. I am $50 short in total amount I charged to that damn card."

"Clover, we are in church. Please refrain from swearing," Sweetheart whispered. She sweetly smiled at the ponies leaving the church. "Here, I'll throw in $20 for mine and Teddy's meal yesterday," She handed Clover a twenty.

"I shouldn't give you any money. I warned you and you wouldn't listen, but her is $5 for tutoring me on Thursday." Bonbon handed her the money. She was still salty about the way Clover had been acting the past couple of days. She had been acting like she was superior to all her friends cause she had a credit card.

"Hey do we have to be passing around money in church, don't you think it is a little tacky, considering we put no money in the collection basket," commented Dandy as they all started to walk out the door.

Clover dropped Dandy off at his house and then went back to her house. She had a lot of cleaning to do before her father came home. To her surprise he had come back early. "Oh damn, he is totally gonna think something crazy went on here while he was away."

She slowly opened the front door of her house, "Hi daddy. You're home early."

He had a very stern look on his face. It sorta scared her a little bit. "This place looks like a tornado hit it. What happened? and don't tell me you had a party. And how and why did you charge that card to it's limit. I really don't think that there was that big of an emergency. So if you don't mind, explain yourself." He sat down on the couch and motioned Clover to sit down next to him.

"Well daddy, you see there is this concert coming up and I really wanted to go so I figured that was an emergency. Then I needed to look cool when I go to this concert, that's when Patch and I went to the mall. Then I decided to take some of my friends out for some various activities and then out to dinner. Then it kinda hit it's limit. I'm sorry, but look," Clover pulled out the envelope of money she earned. "See daddy, I earned it all back except $25. I had to fix this little mistake so you could wipe it off my permanent record."

Her father took the envelope, "Clover, I am very proud of you." Clover looked at him, and her confused look came over her face. He is proud of her for what? "You figured out a solution to fix the problem that you created. I had a feeling that you would charge something extra to it, but not THAT much stuff. You can owe me the $25 when you get it. But I think it is time you start looking for a job. That way you spend your own money instead of everyone elses." Clover didn't like the idea of working, but she knew that this day was coming. Unless there really is a money tree growing in her backyard.

That following weekend is the Radical Charity Concert. Clover drove Dandy, Buddy, Patch, and Melody downtown to the concert. The five ponies had an awesome time. All the music groups were great and when it was over they all wanted more. As they were leaving the concert, there was a little souvenir stand with all kinds of cool stuff.

"Hey Patch, could you lend me some money, I really want a souvenir from this conecert," Clover asked.

"I don't think so Clov."

"Yeah, didn't you learn a lesson from what happened last weekend."

Clover smiled and turned her head. "Yes, I learned my lesson. I am only going to spend the money if I have it in my purse. And I am going to be getting a job, so I will have money all the time."

"Great, then maybe I'll be getting the money back that I lent you for that movie like 3 weeks ago," Patch smiled.

"Don't worry, when I get my first paycheck, you are going to be the very first pony I pay back. I just want to shut you up."

"That is all I ask."

The End
