"Well, he broke up with his girlfriend about a month ago."

"Yes, so I'll get him on the rebound. What else?"

"He is the captain of the Hoofball team and is on the soccer team. He works at the nursing home, but you knew that.

"Did he mention my name or anything?" Melody was a little bit nosy about this sort of thing.

"Yes, he did mention he ran into you and food went flying all over. I didn't admit to him that you're one of my best friends, tough. How could you do something like that. I mean I can see Clover doing it, but you," Sweetheart smiled as she watched Melody's face turn red.

"I was kinda hoping he would forget that."

"His dad left before he was born, so he lives with his mom. They live in an apartment and money is a little tight. That's why he is working so he can help her pay the bills."

"Oh, so he's poor. Well money isn't everything. I mean you are dating a poor boy," Melody knew Teddy didn't have much money.

"Hey, money isn't everything. Love is more important to have in a relationship then money. If you really love each other, you can get through anything."

"Yeah yeah whatever, so anything else?"

"I couldn't talk the whole class, I did have some studying to do you know. Why don't you go talk to him if you like him so much? You know I hate to be the pony in the middle."

"Your right. I should stop beating around the bush. I mean, I have no problem talking to boys, why is this one different?" Melody thought back on all the guys she would talk to so easily, and then Chase comes along and she gets all clumsy and at a loss for words.

"He has to work tonight. Why don't you go visit him?"

"I can do that, I think." Melody began to think of how she could begin the conversation and where to go with it. She most definitely didn't want to make a fool out of herself, again.
