Brighteyes slowly strolled up to the counter. She replayed what she wanted to say over and over in her head, but still couldn't find the right words to say. She sat down between Bonbon and Sweetheart.

"Bonbon, I.., ur.., you.., this...,"

"Wow, really, for someone so smart you sound pretty dumb. Maybe that's what you get for stealing my dreams," Bonbon looked away.

Starlight and Sweetheart were stunned at Bonbon's behavior towards Brighteyes. They have had fights before, but were always able to work things out. They were starting to worry about Bonbon.

"Okay, when you're ready to talk this out rationally, give me a call," with that Brighteyes left.

Later that night, Brighteyes sat on her bed trying to work on her term paper that was due in three weeks, when the phone rang. She heard her dad calling up the stairs that it was for her. She hoped it was Bonbon.

"Hello?"

"Hey Brighteyes!"

"Sweetheart, Bonbon hasn't called me in weeks. She really does hate me."

"She does not," Sweetheart assured her.

"Does, too."

"Does not."

"What are we, ten?"

"No, but when we were ten, did we let stupid misunderstandings ruin our friendships?" Sweetheart questioned, catching Brighteyes off guard.

"No, but, shouldn't you be saying all this to Bonbon?"

"Hold on," Sweetheart decided to get Bonbon on the phone, so they could clear this up right then.

"I don't want to talk to her. I can't believe you would do this to me, Sweetheart. First Brighteyes and now you."

"Bonbon, listen to me," Brighteyes pleaded, "I didn't do it on purpose."

There was a moment of silence. Sweetheart and Brighteyes both wondered if Bonbon had hung up the phone or was she thinking about what was just said.

"I know," Bonbon finally broke the silence, "I know you didn't do it on purpose. I should have brought Clover with me."

Brighteyes breathed a sigh of relief. For the first time she had felt better about the situation. There were more awkward moments of silence, before Bonbon said the unthinkable.

"I want you to be a model, Brighteyes."

"What?" Even Sweetheart was shocked to hear that.

"I mean it. If they want you, I want you to do it. If I had to lose out to any of those girls, I'm glad it was you. Even though you didn't even try out," little giggles were heard on the line.

"Bonbon, I...I don't know what to say?"

"You better say you'll do it before I change my mind," Bonbon still wasn't sure she wanted Brighteyes to be a model, but who was she to stand in the way. If the agency wanted Brighteyes, she must be model material.

"You really want me to?" Brighteyes asked. She wasn't about to tell Bonbon she already mailed in the application. That was one secret she would take to the grave.

"Yes! How many times do I have to tell you?" Bonbon was slowly starting to get annoyed.

"I'll do it on one condition." Bonbon awaited the condition, "will you be there for me, and support me. This modeling thing is something I know very little about."

"Of course I will, what are friends for."

Sweetheart smiled knowing she had got her friends to make up with each other. She quietly hung up her line so they could talk about the modeling industry.

"Say how about we go out for some ice cream to celebrate," suggested Brighteyes. She knew there was no way Bonbon could say 'no' to that offer. Bonbon happily accepted the offer and decided maybe modeling wasn't the career for her.
