Sweetheart sat in a booth at the Ice Cream Shoppe. She was starring out the window. Her beautiful blue eyes were focused on Ace and Starlight, who were in the park across the street.

"There goes Ace sweet-talkin' Starlight again," She thought to herself. Then Ace pulled out a single red rose and hands it to her. Starlight smiled with delight. Sweetheart daydreamed about getting a rose from Teddy when suddenly. . .

"Here's your change Sweetheart," Teddy handed her her change and slid her ice cream sundae across the table to her.

"Teddy, I was thinking,"

Teddy had already started to eat his ice cream, "about what?" he asked with his mouth full.

"I know that you're not the romantic type, but it would be nice once in a while to get a rose or a card. Look at Ace and Starlight."

Teddy kept right on eating his sundae.

"You know our anniversary is coming up," Sweetheart took a taste of her strawberry sundae.

Teddy looked at her. "What??? What day is it and how long have we been together?" He thought to himself.

"So where are you taking me?" Sweetheart innocently smiled. She knew he hadn't even planned anything yet.

"Um, um, it's a surprise, yeah, it's a surprise," Teddy finally said.

"Oh, I can't wait!!" Teddy breathed a sigh of relief that she actually bought it. She sat back in the booth smiling at him.

Later that day Teddy caught up with Ace. He had wanted to confront him on the little incident that happened earlier.

"I saw you and Starlight in the park earlier today,"

"Oh really, I was just playing prince charming," Ace replied with a grin.

"Ha ha ha, well cut it out,"

"Why?" Ace knew this had something to do with Sweetheart. Since when does Teddy care what he does.

"Cause Sweetheart just happened to see you,"

"So,"

"So now she wants me to be more romantic. Thanks a lot man."

"What can I say, girls like romance," Ace also knew Teddy was not into that romantic stuff. But Sweetheart was a hopeless romantic.

"Well, Mr. Romance, I'm no good at it, and our anniversary is coming up and I don't even know what day it is and. . ."

"January 8th."

"How do you know?" Teddy wonder why Ace would remember that.

"I'm your best friend and I knew you'd forget. Besides, do you know how long we all have waited for you to ask that girl out. It was a very momentous occasion."

"You know me too well."

Ace smiled back at Teddy cause he knew exactly what Teddy would ask next. "Sorry Teddy, I can't help you out."

"Why?" Teddy hung his head in disappointment.

"She is your girlfriend. Just give her something that comes from your heart. Or take her some place special. Preferable some place romantic, not the monster truck rally."

"Damn it, that was my first choice."

"Have some flowers, candles, romantic music, no Limp Bizkit. Oh no I'm telling you too much."

"No keep going, for the first time in my life, I'm taking notes."

"I got to go to soccer practice, good luck man," Ace walked off leaving Teddy standing alone.
