Teddy made the sign of the crossed and prayed that he would survive this. The windows were rolled down and the wind was stinging his face. He clutched the door tightly, he was terrified he may be thrown out. He wanted to close his eyes, but feared if he did, the worse would happen. For the first time he was scared for his life. He didn't think he would ever make it through when suddenly. . . they stopped. "Thank you!!! There is a God," he thought to himself. Then he hesitantly looked to his left just to hear a question he didn't know how to answer.

"So, how did I do?" Sweetheart smiled excitedly and awaited Teddy's response.

"How do I answer this without hurting her feelings," Teddy thought. He had taken Sweetheart out for her first driving lesson and need-less-to-say. he feared that anyone's life would be at risk with her in the drivers' seat. She is a smart girl, she could learn to drive, maybe her father would teach her.

"Ummmm, you did a ummm, great dear,"

"Oh Teddy this will be great. I will be able to pick you up for our dates."

"Now let's not get our hopes up, just let me drive us home. I want to get home in one piece." He muttered under his breath.

"What?"

"Oh, nothing,"

The next day at the lunch table , the girls were all talking about going to get their licenses, since all of them were sixteen. Only Clover and Melody had their licenses out of the seven of them. And those two were lucky enough to have cars, too.

"Well, I went driving with Teddy, yesterday and he said I did great, I know I'll pass the test and get my license," Sweetheart smiled.

"Teddy, taught you how to. . . drive," laughed Patch, as Sweetheart just ignored her. "So after school, what do you say?"

Sweetheart, Patch, Brighteyes, and Bonbon all agreed that after school they would go take the driving test and get their licenses.

"Good Luck girls, let us know how it goes," Melody wished them luck.
