Buddy sat in English class, trying to concentrate on the boring subject of Shakespheare, that Ms. Parker was teaching. He glanced over at Lancer, who sits at the desk right next to him. He was typing away at the computer.

"Dude, what are you doing? taking notes or what?" asked Buddy.

"No, man," Lancer looked at him and whispered, "I'm writing a poem for Brighteyes. After three months, I'm finally finished."

Buddy leaned over to look at the computer screen. "So what are you waiting for, print it out," He thought he pressed the print, but...

"Aaaawwww, you deleted it," shrieked Lancer.

"Big deal write her another one," replied Buddy, as Lancer looked back at the blank screen and realized this was probably going to be a big mistake.

A couple days later, Lancer decided to give the poem to Brighteyes. He saw her sitting at a booth by herself at the pizza parlor. Buddy walked in and saw Lancer.

"So did you give it to her, yet?"

"No,"

"What are you chicken?"

"Well actually," Lancer glanced up and saw a waiter. "I'll have him deliver it for me."

"Could you deliver this to that beautiful girl over there?" Lancer pointed to Brighteyes just as Melody walked into view.

The waiter looked over, "This is going to cost you."

"How about $1," Lancer offered.

"Sold,"

"She's going to love it I know," He stopped, "She's going to hate it," Lancer blushed and ran out the door.

The waiter walked over and handed the poem to Melody. Melody grabbed it excitedly.

"Oh, a secret admirer," She looked around the pizza parlor for the pony that could have wrote the poem. "Who gave you this?"

"Now if I told you, it wouldn't be a secret now would it," Melody pulled out a $5. "Lancer," He replied as he went back to work.

"Lancer is my one true love," Melody sat down on one of the benches. "Well, he knows I'm dating Chase, so I going to have to let him down gently."

Melody walked up and down the hallway at school the next day. She noticed Lancer talking to Starlight about a history project. Then suddenly she saw Ace approaching his locker. Melody rushed over to him.

"Ace, I can't talk to you right now cause I don't want a certain pony to hear us," she pointed to Lancer and Starlight, "read this and let me what you think," Melody handed him the poem and walked away.

Ace leaned against the locker reading the poem, "Oh sure, now Melody is in love with me. Figures, now that I'm off the market," He folded it up and put it in his book bag. "What I'm I going to do?"
